The estate was once owned by the famous winemakers Jean-Louis and Bernard Foucault, better known as "Charly" and "Nady". Sadly, legendary winemaker "Charly" left us too soon, in December 2015.

The great Clos Rougeard estate is a real inspiration for French vineyards, with viticulture based on the know-how and experience of the estate. The values of this terroir are deeply rooted - tradition, respect for the vines, biodynamic viticulture - the domaine uses no weedkillers or pesticides. No label, just a trusted terroir with great complexity. Vinification is done simply, without an oenologist, and it remains a great success. The wines are fine, concentrated and complex.

" The aim is to obtain wines that are both concentrated and fine.
