Located in the commune of Monthelie<\/em>the Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret estate<\/strong> extends over 6 hectares, with 4 vineyards on the AOC Meursault<\/a><\/strong>, Pommard<\/a><\/strong>, Monthelie<\/strong> and Volnay<\/a><\/strong>. Traditional viticulture has been preserved in this prestigious Burgundy estate.<\/strong>\u00a0Historically, this estate is highly reputed, with over 300 years of experience in the vineyards.<\/p>\n

In the beginning, a great man, Mr Monthelie<\/em> who gave birth to the estate. The descendants of Mr Monthelie<\/em>his son, the Doctor Monthelie<\/em>and his daughter took over the estate after him. At that time, the estate covered 12 hectares. Alix's two daughters took over the estate, Armande <\/em>and Charlotte<\/em>. Armande<\/em> decided to abandon the estate in the early 70s. Armande<\/em> was unable to take over his sister's shares at the time, which made for a difficult period... This led to a division of the vineyard. On one side, Miss Armande<\/strong><\/em> who farmed his part of the estate over 6 hectares. Then came Andr\u00e9<\/em>adopted son ofArmande<\/em>with whom it had joined forces in 1989e to found the Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret estate<\/strong>. And today, everyone remembers that date, April 20, 2004. Miss Armande <\/strong><\/em>has passed away, a great lady and winemaker from Burgundy<\/strong>. But the famous estate is still going strong today, with Andr\u00e9<\/em> at the helm of the famous estate, in partnership with his granddaughter Cataldina.<\/em><\/p>\n

One of the estate's great cuv\u00e9es. Its name comes from the fact that the field is located on a slope. This terroir is located in the continuity of the caillets. It faces east, southeast, on shallow, stone-filled soils. Annual production is 3400 bottles. This wine is appreciated for its finesse, generous bouquet and sappiness. One of Burgundy's most feminine wines<\/strong>. Its color is bright ruby, light garnet. The nose is full of fruit and floral notes: redcurrant, cherry, violet. Over the years, notes of spice, game and cooked prune develop. Concentrated and complex, this wine opens early. Its freshness is immediately apparent on the palate, followed by a warm finish. It will reach its peak after 6 years, and can be kept for 10 years or more, depending on the vintage.<\/p>\n

The name of this cuv\u00e9e comes from the derivative of \"\u00a0fremyer<\/em>\u00a0\"which in old French meant \"firm, solid\". A production of 1000 bottles. A Pommar<\/strong>d as we like it, rich in sensitivity. The classic structure of a Pommard<\/strong>The best thing about this cuv\u00e9e \"Les Fremiers\" is its finesse and elegance, which could be compared to a Volnay. In fact, the terroir is glued to the vineyard. Volnay<\/strong> \"\u00a0Fremiets<\/em>\" . This wine is purple\/magenta in color, with great delicacy and depth. On the nose, notes of blackcurrant, raspberry and Morello cherry, very fruity. After several years, it develops notes of leather, fur and humus. It's possible that the name comes from the ancient flax cultivation in these fields. These are the estate's most hillside vineyards, and as they are very difficult to access, everything is done by hand. A tractor cannot reach them, and all treatments are carried out by helicopter. A production of 2200 bottles for this great Pommard<\/strong>. Its color is incredible. It ranges from deep red to dark ruby-purple. It shares its fruity notes with us: cherry pit, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, redcurrant and plum. With age, this cru develops notes of leather, cocoa and pepper. A Pommard <\/strong>A rich wine that you can enjoy with very tasty wines. This is a wine for laying down, needing 6 to 8 years to reach its peak. It will evolve for 20 years or more!<\/p>\n

In the early Middle Ages, \"\u00a0Le Meix<\/em>\u00a0\"was a group of buildings located on a large farm. Located in the middle of the village, this cru yields 7600 bottles. A bright, lively ruby color. After several years, the color turns to dark carmine, even black cherry. Fruity and floral notes: violet, blackberry, strawberry. And after several years' aging, licorice, leather and fur, game and undergrowth. A wild wine. Its power, richness and full-bodiedness make it an ideal companion. large\u00a0Burgundy<\/a><\/strong>.
