Today we'd like to introduce you to one of our partner domains: the Duclaux estate<\/strong>. Property of\u00a0David and Benjamin Duclaux<\/em>is a family-run wine estate established in 1928. This terroir was mainly managed by the father,\u00a0Edmond Duclaux<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Introducing Domaine Duclaux - C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie & Condrieu<\/h2>\n

Founded in 1928, the estate was bought out by the great-grandfather, but its progress was mainly due to the father, Edmond Duclaux. It is now his heirs, the Duclaux brothers, who cultivate their terroirs by hand. The estate covers 5.8 hectares of vines. They are found on the sloping hillsides of Tupin-et-Semons, and the soils are typical of southern France.AOC C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie<\/a><\/strong> from a gneiss parent rock. The\u00a0Duclaux Estate<\/strong>\u00a0specializes in the production of\u00a0great red wines<\/strong>C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie, C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie Benjamin et David Duclaux, C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie La Germine, C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie Maison Rouge. The grapes are grown by hand. But since 2014, these also produce white wines:\u00a0<\/strong>Condrieu cuv\u00e9e \"Les Caillets\".<\/p>\n

History of the domain :<\/span><\/h3>\n

Founded in 1928 by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Gaillet, the estate is now over 50 years old.<\/span>\u00a0For a while, he helped save money to add it to the other terroirs he already owns in the region.<\/span>\u00a0In addition to the wines, he harvests vegetables from the estate.\u00a0Duclaux\u00a0<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0In 1960, R\u00e9mi\u00a0Duclaux, his<\/span>\u00a0In those days, it was much easier to make vegetables than wine.<\/span>\u00a0Then, at the end of the decade and in 1978, the estate bottled its wine at 100%.<\/span>\u00a0From that moment on, they began to make a living from their trade.\u00a0wine<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Visit\u00a01980, the<\/span>\u00a0the success of c\u00f4te-r\u00f4tie wines begins.<\/span>\u00a0David\u00a0Duclaux<\/span>\u00a0joined his father in 1993 after training at the Lyc\u00e9e Viticole de Bel Air in the Beaujolais region.<\/span>\u00a0From 1995 to 2001, David cultivated 1.5 hectares of vines, and was joined by his brother Benjamin in 2001.<\/span>\u00a0From\u00a02015\u00a0<\/span>Benjamin and David are at the head of the vineyard.\u00a0Duclaux<\/span>\u00a0of 5.8 hectares.<\/span><\/p>\n
