C\u00f4te R\u00f4tie terroir<\/h2>\n

The famous terroir of C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie<\/strong><\/a> is the most northerly of the great Rh\u00f4ne appellations.<\/p>\n

The entire vineyard covers almost 250 hectares, spread over 6 kilometers of steep, south-facing slopes on the right bank of the Rh\u00f4ne.<\/p>\n

Mainly based on micaschist, it is enriched with silica, clay, limestone or ferric oxides depending on the locality, offering an astonishing variety of terroirs.<\/p>\n

\"purchaseThe Ren\u00e9 Rostaing estate currently produces 3 cuv\u00e9es on C\u00f4te R\u00f4tie. <\/strong>They have all been vinified and aged in the same way, so as to demonstrate their different personalities solely through their own terroir.<\/p>\n

For the terroir in C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie \"La Landonne\" by R. Rostaing<\/strong>The soil is complex, powerful and composed of schistose arena with iron oxide. This C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie grand cru is highly appreciated, and is one of the appellation's elite. It generally displays flavors of wild berries and licorice, with very pronounced tannins and great depth. To top it all off, it manages to fuse freshness with elegance, not to mention perfect structure.<\/p>\n

\"buyA legendary cuv\u00e9e in the appellation. It is produced with the utmost skill by the winemaker. Exotic flavors of blond tobacco, cinnamon and violets are found on a finish of great depth and refined tannins.
\nSuave, long on the palate, the final touch to the work of the terroir.<\/p>\n

Here, the soil is poor, mineral (mica, silica) and filtering, constituting the famous \"arzel\" resulting from the slow decomposition of the schistose parent rock.<\/p>\n
