From now on, his collaborator, Neal Martin, will take on this gentle task. He is not retiring from tasting, however, and will now devote his time to rating wines already in bottle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visit <strong>2005 vintage<\/strong> now counts <strong>12 Bordeaux wines rated 100\/100<\/strong> - Right bank and Pessac in the spotlight.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/vins-2005\">&gt; Order a great wine from 2005<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Until last week, only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-ausone\">Ausone<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-eglise-clinet\">Clinet church<\/a> were rated 100\/100 on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/vins-2005\">2005 vintage<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n10 ch\u00e2teaux complete this list, for a total of 12 bottles, making 2005 the second best vintage in terms of 100\/100 ratings, just behind the 2009 vintage, which has 19:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-angelus\">Angelus - 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 A de St Emilion<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-ausone\">Ausone- 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 A de St Emilion<\/a> (previously noted)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-cheval-blanc\">Cheval Blanc - 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 A de St Emilion<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-pavie\">Pavie - 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 A de St Emilion <\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-larcis-ducasse\">Larcis Ducasse - 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 B de St Emilion<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/troplong-mondot\">Troplong Mondot- 1er Grand cru class\u00e9 B de St Emilion<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-peby-faugeres\">Peby Faugeres- Grand cru class\u00e9 de St Emilion<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bellevue-Mondotte - St Emilion Grand cru<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-eglise-clinet\">Eglise-Clinet - Pomerol<\/a> (previously noted)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/lafleur\">Lafleur - Pomerol<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-haut-brion\">Haut-Brion - Pessac-Leognan<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/mission-haut-brion\">Mission Haut-Brion - Pessac-Leognan<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the Medoc and Pessac-Leognan Grands Crus Class\u00e9s have also been renoted: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-margaux\">Ch\u00e2teau Margaux<\/a> a 98+\/100, followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-palmer\">Palmer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-latour\">Latour<\/a> a 98\/100, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/chateau-pape-clement\">Pope Clement<\/a> a 99\/100 .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Note the entry into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/blog\/les-meilleurs-vins-robert-parker\/\">closed circle of 100\/100<\/a> de Angelus, Larcis-Ducasse, Troplong Mondot , Peby-Faugere and Bellevue-Mondotte (owned by Gerard Perse, who achieves a double with Pavie and Bellevue-Mondotte).<br \/>\nAusone, Haut-Brion, Pavie and Lafleur remain the 4 wines that also received the Ultimate 100\/100 rating from Wine Spectator for the 2005 vintage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Parker said:<br \/>\n<strong>\" <em>I thought that the 2005 Bordeaux wines were surrounded by excessive and unprecedented hype and that's why my initial assessments were so low, but at the same time, I considered that this is a vintage that would require a lot of patience for the wines to evolve. This vintage looks solid and impressive at 10 years. I still think it will remain slightly below the 2009 and 2010, by a very small margin!<\/em> \"<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Robert Parker has also reviewed the 2005 Napa Valley wines and confirms that this vintage is fabulous, like 2001, 2002 and 2007.
