The 2010 vintage has a similar color to the 2009, but is even more opaque, which might seem almost impossible. A light taste of smoke, blackberry liqueur, licorice and chocolate that fills the palate. Smooth, velvety, full-bodied black fruit, concentrated, well-defined tannins and good acidity. The wine has a majestic finish that continues for a minute. This magnificent wine is still very young, but just as prodigious as its elder brother, the 2009. Somewhat underestimated and under the radar after the greatness of 2000, the<strong>Angelus<\/strong> 2001 is on a faster evolutionary track than the 2000. A lush texture, voluptuously textured and opulent. Beautiful texture, full-bodied opulence, striking purity and overall balance make this a magnificent wine. This one is just in its plateau of full maturity. The batches of <strong>Merlot.<\/strong> This year, <strong>Merlot<\/strong> gives a lot of harmony to the wine, and has some of the qualities of the <strong>Cabernet Franc<\/strong>\u00a0It gives precision and freshness. It gives generosity and softness. The wine was aged at 100% in new barrels at 11\u00b0C to reduce the dose of sulfur. This maintains the freshness of the aromas and preserves the wine's elegance. It offers a complex range of aromas such as black cherry, camphor, oyster shell and Japanese nori, beautifully defined and highly concentrated. The palate is medium-bodied but powerful, with a layer of slender tannins and a sharp thread of acidity. A layer of black fruit laced with spice, baking powder, mint and white pepper. It feels particularly long on the palate, with an insistence that hangs on for a minute. It's full-bodied, ripe, and a great, great success for this estate. The tannins are silky smooth, and the wine can be drunk now or over the next 15 years or more.
