He is also fortunate to have as his father-in-law Bernard Faurie, the legendary producer of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/hermitage\">Hermitage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/emmanuel-darnaud\">&gt; See our Domaine Darnaud wines and vintages<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Based in Pont de l'Is\u00e8re, in the south of the appellation, he has now accumulated 15 hectares, on what he identifies as six different terroirs. The 6 parcels are vinified separately, and have enabled three different aging regimes, in oak of three different sizes (hence the name of his flagship wine Les Trois Ch\u00eanes).<\/p>\n<p>Its powerful Crozes Hermitage wines are rich, relatively tannic and with a good level of balanced acidity, seductive notes of tapenade and sweet blackberry. They are aged in 50 % new oak barrels.<\/p>\n<p>Since its first vintage in 2001, Darnaud has developed a very fruity style of Crozes wine, with a seductive bouquet and an almost ethereal fragrance combining olives, violets and blackberries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Crozes Hermitage \"Les Trois Ch\u00eanes\" Domaine Emmanuel Darnaud :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Grape variety: 100% Syrah<\/li>\n<li>Location: Northern C\u00f4tes du Rh\u00f4ne, on the east bank of the Rh\u00f4ne.<\/li>\n<li>Terroir : Continental with Mediterranean influence. Glacial alluvium consisting of rolled pebbles.<\/li>\n<li>Vines: 25 to 60 years old<\/li>\n<li>Cultivation: Grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed.<\/li>\n<li>Vinification: Each plot is vinified and aged separately in open concrete or wood vats.<\/li>\n<li>Tasting notes : A purplish color with pinkish highlights. A powerful nose of very ripe cherries, a hint of black olives, blackcurrants and blackberry jam.<br \/>\ndough.<\/li>\n<li>Wine and food pairing : A very expressive wine to enjoy on any occasion. Grilled meats such as kid, charcuterie and mild cheeses.<\/li>\n<li>Aging potential: This wine can be drunk now, or cellared for 4 to 10 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Crozes Hermitage \"Au Fil du temps\" Domaine Emmanuel Darnaud :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Grape variety: 100% Syrah<\/li>\n<li>Terroir : Glacial alluvium consisting of rolled pebbles.<\/li>\n<li>Vines: Over 35 years old<\/li>\n<li>Crop: Destemmed from 80% of total production<\/li>\n<li>Vinification: Each parcel is vinified and aged separately in open concrete or wood vats. 50% new and 50% one-wine barrels or demi-muids (16 months).<\/li>\n<li>Tasting notes : A purplish color with pinkish highlights. An intense nose of red fruit and floral notes such as lilac and rose.<br \/>\ndough.<\/li>\n<li>Food pairing: Filet mignon, grilled vegetables, wok-cooked meats and vegetables, cow's milk cheeses.<\/li>\n<li>Aging potential: This wine can be drunk after 5 years in the cellar, or kept for 10 years or more, depending on the quality of the vintage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"article__name\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Saint Joseph \" Lieu-dit La Dardouille \" - Emmanuel Darnaud :<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Grape variety: 100% Syrah<\/li>\n<li>Location: Northern C\u00f4tes du Rh\u00f4ne, on the east bank of the Rh\u00f4ne.<\/li>\n<li>Terroir : Glacial alluvium consisting of rolled pebbles.<\/li>\n<li>Vines: 30 to 80 years old<\/li>\n<li>Cultivation: The soils are worked and the grapes are harvested by hand.<\/li>\n<li>Vinification: Each parcel is vinified and aged separately in open concrete or wood vats. 50% new and 50% one-wine barrels or demi-muids (16 months).<\/li>\n<li>Tasting notes : Garnet color with violet highlights. Elegant and fleshy, with an open nose and great finesse.
