Visit Pessac-L\u00e9ognan wines<\/a> are located on the left bank of the Garonne. The appellation surrounds the town of Bordeaux with its 1,600 hectares. Initially part of the AOC GRAVES, wines with better terroir, especially south of Bordeaux, were given the AOC PESSAC-L\u00c9OGNAN in 1987<\/a>. Wine production <\/span>rises to 65 <\/span>000 hectolitres, with a large majority of red wines (80 %) and only 20 % of white wines.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is from their soil that Pessac wines<\/strong> are unique: large pebbles, rolled pebbles in clay and sand, deposited by the Garonne river thousands of years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n
