It brings together all wine lovers, from the enlightened connoisseur to the novice who just likes a glass.
This time, we've chosen it for the aperitif, so it'll be a round, fruity Côtes-du-Rhône.
To choose a wine that's not too powerful, I recommend a northern red, based on Syrah.
Syrah delivers aromas of red fruits and spices. If not aged in barrels, the wine will have silky tannins, making it an interesting aperitif. It can also accompany terrine toast, sausages, chorizo...

CÔTES-DU-RHÔNE 2018 - SAINT COSME

From a single grape variety, Syrah, this Côtes-du-Rhône gives crisp, fruity, gourmet notes. The vines are planted on limestone, clay and pebble soils. The wine is matured in vats, with the bunches partially destemmed to add a little character to this fruit bonbon.

> All our Saint Cosme wines

A great southern wine!

There are a few estates that should be tasted at least once in a lifetime to discover the essence of a region, a style, a winemaker.

LA GRANGE DES PÈRES 2003

It can be enjoyed now with a butcher's cut, red meat or seven-hour lamb.
The estate I'm about to introduce to you perfectly reflects the characteristics of Languedoc wines.
Laurent Vaillé is the proud owner of Domaine de la Grange des Pères. He took over the reins of the estate in 1992 after training at the Domaine de Trevallon and with Jean-Francois Coche-Dury.
The wine is a blend of Southern grape varieties, Syrah and Mourvèdre, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Counoise. The winemaker has opted for parcel-based vinification, followed by a 24-month ageing period with a proportion of new barrels.
The wine is complex and very mineral, thanks to the quality of the terroirs where the vines are planted, in this case on the hillside of Aniane, which will give notes of garrigue and black spices as it evolves.

> All our wines from La Grange des Pères

The great classic... An old Bordeaux vintage

After so much power, let's move on to a little gentleness.
The next bottle will automatically make your guests' eyes sparkle, bring back tasting memories for some, or start a few wine debates. The next great bottle I recommend you open with friends or family is an old Bordeaux vintage. For me, a vintage starts to age after 10 years and is old after 20. So I'm going to present you with a 20-year-old jewel, old by age, but still with character, worthy of the best Bordeaux.

Saint-Julien - Château Léoville Barton 2000

Born of a division of plots when Hugh Barton was purchased in 1826, this owner of Château Langoa Barton gave birth to a new great name, "Léoville Barton", which adjoins the Léoville Las-Cases and Léoville Poyferré plots.
As well as being on a magnificent terroir, the Barton family took the gamble of not changing their wooden vats at a time when a large number of Bordeaux estates were switching to stainless steel.
This cuvée 2000 delivers aromas of black fruits, still fresh and dense.
Slight notes of evolution appear without being too marked.
Its spicy finish prolongs a powerful palate.
A superb bottle to discover, especially when you know that the domaine has just won the title of "best bottle of the year" with the 2016 vintage!!!

> All our Château Léoville Barton wines

The great wines of Burgundy

We round off this small selection with a region much appreciated by wine lovers.
Burgundy is undoubtedly considered one of the world's greatest wine-producing regions, or at least one of the most sought-after. That's why we've chosen to talk to you about one of the world's greatest estates, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. We're talking, of course, about Domaine Lalou Bize Leroy and a very special cuvée.

Savigny Les Beaune 1er Cru Les Narbantons 2014 - Domaine Leroy

Founded in 1868, in a commune north of the Côtes de Beaune, the estate owes its success to Henry Leroy, who bought 50% of the DRC estate (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) in 1942.
Then it was the turn of Henry's daughter, Marcelle, nicknamed Lalou by everyone, to take over the reins of the domaine. After purchasing several hectares of vines from some of Burgundy's great names, she is now at the head of a 22.4-hectare estate, present in 24 appellations.
Without doubt, the greatest wine of the appellation. These parcels, which like all the others on the estate are biodynamically farmed, are surprisingly fruity, velvety and aromatically complex. Morello cherry notes mingle with those of other forest fruits, with a finish of freshness and slightly crushed fruit.
