Founded<\/span>\u00a0at<\/span>\u00a019\u00a0th century<\/span>\u00a0by Antoine\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley, the estate is\u00a0located<\/span>\u00a0on the\u00a0best<\/span> parcels of Northern Rh\u00f4ne wines; in particular Hermitage<\/span>Crozes-Hermitage and Cornas.<\/span>\u00a0He remains in the family\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span> until 2006, when the Frey family took over.<\/span>\u00a0The domain is theone of the best in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley<\/strong> and we can't stop talking about the exploits of Paul Jaboulet, in particular the AOC cuv\u00e9e\u00a0Hermitage<\/span> \u00a0\"La Chapelle\" has enjoyed a meteoric rise to become one of the top 10 wines of this century.<\/span><\/p>\n

History of the domain :<\/h2>\n

This estate is a family story, as it was passed down from father to son, with Louis succeeding his grandfather Antoine and then father Paul.<\/span>\u00a0Louis remained at the helm until 1977, when his son Gerard took over until his death in 1977, followed by cousin Michel.\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Not forgetting other family members who have played a part in the life of the company, such as :<\/span>\u00a0Jean Jaboulet Louis Jaboulet's brother, Jacques Jaboulet Gerard Jaboulet's brother, Philippe Jaboulet Gerard Jaboulet's brother.\u00a0Michell<\/span>\u00a0Jaboulet, then Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique and Laurent Jaboulet, sons of Jacques Jaboulet.<\/span>\u00a0AOC vineyards in the Rhone Valley, the crus of the northern Cotes du Rhone have placed their brand on the international stage, as has theHermitage<\/span>\u00a0with their cuv\u00e9e \"la chapelle\" which was awarded in the category of the best wines in the world.<\/span> The estate was acquired in 2006 by the Frey family, who also own Ch\u00e2teau de la Lagune, Bordeaux's 3rd Grand Cru Class\u00e9, and Ch\u00e2teau de l'Anjou. Corton<\/span>\u00a0C in Burgundy and owns 100 hectares in Champagne, as well as a stake in the house\u00a0Billecart-Salmon<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The domain now :<\/h2>\n

Thanks to Caroline Frey, winemaker and oenologist, the estate obtained organic viticulture certification in 2016 and began a transition to biodynamic viticulture.<\/span> The Frey family has a strong presence in the wine business and owns many famous estates and wines.<\/span>ike Ch\u00e2teau La Lagune in Bordeaux and other properties in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley in\u00a0Hermitage<\/span>Cornas,\u00a0Crozes Hermitage<\/span>C\u00f4te R\u00f4tie and C\u00f4te du Rh\u00f4ne.<\/span>\u00a0They distribute both red and white wines, and are also masters in the art of negotiation and production.<\/span> During 2007, the Paul\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0Elder<\/strong> expands its heritage by acquiring the Domaine de Terre Ferme in Ch\u00e2teauneuf du Pape.<\/span>\u00a0They are also very active in the southern Rh\u00f4ne valley.<\/span>\u00a0Two Ch\u00e2teauneuf du pape reds and two Ch\u00e2teauneuf du pape whites are produced by Paul.\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0Groin.<\/span>\u00a0Paul\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0Aine is based on a\u00a0mix<\/span>\u00a0of 70 % Grenache, 15 %\u00a0Cinsault<\/span>,\u00a010 %\u00a0\u00a0Syarh<\/span>\u00a0and 5 % of\u00a0Mouv\u00e8dre<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The vines have generally been present for more than 50 years.<\/span> For 12 months, the wines are produced in oak barrels.<\/span>\u00a0Paul\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0Ain\u00e9 \"Domaine de Terre Ferme\" is made from 80 % Grenache and 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon.\u00a0Mouv\u00e8dre<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Paul\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span>\u00a0Elder ashes\u00a0white<\/span> is made from 80 % Grenache Blanc and 20 % Grenache Blanc.\u00a0picardin<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Paul\u00a0Jaboulet<\/span> Ain\u00e9 domaine de La Terre Farm<\/span> Ch\u00e2teauneuf du pape Blanc is produced from 80 % of Grenache Blanc and 20 % of Clairette.<\/span> The house has become a benchmark for legendary vintages.<\/span><\/p>\n
