The vines are mainly Chardonnay, white grapes, with a small proportion of reds and Pinot Noir. The white wines are full-bodied, fruity and above all very mineral. Some houses are so emblematic that they are not good investments due to their very high prices, but they are among the finest estates in the world. These include Domaine Ramonet with its Chevalier Montrachet grand cru, and Maison Leroy. Then the wines of Puligny-Montrachet had the honor of welcoming Domaine Leflaive and in particular Anne Claude Leflaive, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy who died in 2015 of cancer.
