It covers 58 hectares of vines spread over 38 parcels and 8 communes. In this article, I invite you to discover its history and a brief presentation of its three main cuv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com\/blog\/domaines-partenaires-guide-vin\/\">&gt; Guides to partner wineries<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">For the record:<\/h2>\n<p><span id=\"p12\">Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, it's located just a few kilometers from Avignon, in the Southern Rh\u00f4ne Valley.<\/span><span id=\"p48\">\u00a0The family owes its success to Christophe Delorme, who in the space of 30 years has brought the estate into the big league.<\/span><span id=\"p49\"> He's a passionate winemaker who shares his love and respect for the land.<\/span><span id=\"p15\"> The entire vineyard has been converted to Biodynamic farming.<\/span><span id=\"p16\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"p16\">Since 2016, Madeleine Delorme and their daughter Ambre have continued Christophe's work with a team trained by him.<\/span><span id=\"p50\"> They have chosen to preserve the company's values and continue to produce the very best wines.<\/span><span id=\"p18\">\u00a0The\u00a0<span id=\"33\">the<\/span>\u00a0Mordor\u00e9e takes its name from their favorite bird, the woodcock.<\/span><span id=\"p19\">\u00a0They also chose 3 other nicknames in addition to the\u00a0<span id=\"34\" class=\"s-rg-t\">\u00a0\"Mordor\u00e9e \"<\/span>\u00a0such as \"La Remise\", \"La Dame Rousse\", \"La Dame voyageuse\".\u00a0<span id=\"35\" class=\"s-bl-t\">and\"<\/span>\u00a0La Reine des Bois\" is the symbol for the names of the 4 cuv\u00e9es.<\/span><span id=\"p20\">\u00a0Like\u00a0<span id=\"37\" class=\"s-rg-t\">vintage<\/span>\u00a0exceptional\u00a0<span id=\"38\" class=\"s-rg-t\">\u00a0\"The<\/span>\u00a0feather of the\u00a0<span id=\"39\" class=\"s-rg-t\">painter \"<\/span>\u00a0also occurs.<\/span><span id=\"p21\"> The estate is farmed organically and biodynamically. The grapes are harvested by hand. Situated at the crossroads of Provence and Languedoc, La Mordor\u00e9e produces some of the finest vintages in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley: Tavel (where the winery is located), Ch\u00e2teauneuf du Pape, Lirac, C\u00f4tes-du-Rh\u00f4ne, Vin de France and Condrieu.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"normal\" style=\"text-align: center;\">A quality environment :<\/h2>\n<p class=\"normal\"><span id=\"p52\">One of this estate's greatest achievements is to have recreated sustainable ecosystems in vineyards that have visibly withstood extraordinary events. The wine is aged at 20 % in used barrels, and 80 % in stainless steel tanks.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tasting<\/strong><\/em> Dark ruby, opaque color. Aromas of red fruits (strawberry, cherry) and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), violets and licorice, with hints of leather and truffle.
