History of the domain :<\/h2>\n

For centuries,<\/span>\u00a0the family\u00a0Armenier<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>is part of the major wine producers in Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape<\/strong>The proof lies in an archive dating from 1344, which states that their ancestors paid the tax.<\/span> Over the centuries, this family of peasant winegrowers has preserved its stony vineyards.<\/span>\u00a0Elie\u00a0Armenier<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>took over the management of the estate in the 1950s, taking over the 15 hectares of Ch\u00e2teauneuf du Pape vines and marketing his wine to the wine merchants.<\/span>\u00a0His son Philippe joined him in 1975.<\/span> Together, they created the Domain Marcoux<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>and begins bottling.<\/span>\u00a0Thanks to its participation in the first\u00a0Vinexpo<\/span> In 1981, it strengthened its foreign clientele, which included New Zealanders, Asians, Koreans and Australians.<\/span>\u00a0These estate wines are exported at 75 % and the rest are sold in restaurants or by wine merchants.\u00a0French prestige<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0In 1988, Sophie\u00a0Armenier<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0joined his family.<\/span>\u00a0In 1991, they switched to organic production, then to biodynamic agriculture.<\/span>\u00a0After Elie's death\u00a0Armenier<\/span> and the departure of son Philippe, Catherine Armenier<\/strong> joins his sister Sophie, who remains in sole charge of the estate.<\/span> Together, the two sisters expanded the estate with 10 hectares of vines in the Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape and Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape appellations.
