Here's one of our superb partner estates and winemakers:<\/span>\u00a0it is the domain\u00a0Vaudieu<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0In this article, I'll tell you the story of this estate, and give you more details about these cuv\u00e9es.<\/span>\u00a0This estate specializes in white wines, but has also produced a few reds.<\/span><\/p>\n

History of the domain :<\/h2>\n

For 5 generations now, the\u00a0Brechet<\/span>\u00a0vine harvesting.<\/span>\u00a0They are key players in the appellation\u00a0Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-pape<\/span>\u00a0in the southern Rh\u00f4ne valley.<\/span>\u00a0They have\u00a0purchased the Ch\u00e2teau de Vaudieu<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in 1955, the Domaine des Bosquets in the AOC\u00a0gigondas<\/span> in 1963, Domaine de la J\u00e9r\u00f4me<\/span>\u00a0and the Ch\u00e2teau de la\u00a0Coulerette<\/span>\u00a0(AOC C\u00f4tes de Provence)<\/span>\u00a0in 1969.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Origin: The name \u00a0\"Vaudieu \"<\/span>\u00a0comes from the Val Dieu, an area blessed by the Gods with slopes and terraces over 250 years old.<\/span>\u00a0The Ch\u00e2teau was one of the 4 largest estates in theappellation<\/span>. With the help of\u00a0<\/span>Gabriel\u00a0Meffre,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the size of the estate reached 70 hectares in 1960.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today: Thanks to a two-hundred-year-old Lebanese cedar, he watches over 32 parcels of vines that grow on the estate's sandy, pebble, limestone and white earth soils.<\/span> The blend of most wines is composed of 22% of Roussanne<\/span>,\u00a060%<\/span> of white Grenache, 11%<\/span> of Clairette<\/span>,\u00a07%<\/span> of Bourboulenc<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a06%<\/span> de Picardan (an ancient white grape variety)<\/span>\u00a0sharing the grape varieties.<\/span>\u00a0The old white Grenache grapes, one of the estate's prides, grow on a terrace of rolled pebbles, bringing strength and fullness to the wines.<\/span><\/p>\n
