THE MOST FEMININE OF RED BURGUNDIES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2600 Even if certain climates contradict the rest of the appellation description, Volnay wines have always been considered delicate and feminine. Located in the C\u00f4te-d'Or region, the wines come from the commune of Volnay, with the exception of the Santenot climat, which is located in the village of Meursault. The 222 hectares overlook Beaune and are planted on the Chaignot mountain. At the top, the soils are chalky, complemented by schistose banks; at mid-slope, the soils are more chalky, then at the bottom of the slope, chalky and chalky soils combine to supply the vines with minerals. <\/span><\/p>\n

Established in 1937, like a large proportion of Burgundy wines, the vineyard does not have a Grand Cru, but 29 climats are classified as Premier Cru and complete the appellation's 24 lieux-dits. Some climats, such as Premier Cru \"Santenot\", \"Fr\u00e9miet\" and \"En Chevret\", offer highly complex and distinctive wines.<\/span><\/p>\n

VERY VELVETY WINES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

? It's not just a legend: Volnay wines are fine, delicate and more feminine reds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chalky soils combined with Pinot Noir give Beaune wines all their suppleness. The softer climates offer supple, fruity wines with red fruit aromas. They go well with poultry, modern dishes and even lacquered food, to remind us of the wine's gourmet flavors. On warmer climates, which offer more powerful wines, game and mature meats will be de rigueur to match the more animal and characterful notes.<\/span><\/p>\n

For cheese lovers, although it's advisable to pair your cheeses with white wines, Volnay wines can accompany strong cheeses.<\/span><\/p>\n
