What is the Montille estate?<\/h2>\n

This family is originally from\u00a0Cr\u00e9ancey<\/span>\u00a0in theAuxois<\/span>\u00a0with the Lords of\u00a0Commeau<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0In the words of Hubert de\u00a0Montille<\/span>The estate was created in 1730.<\/span>\u00a0After the marriage of Marie El\u00e9onore Chauvelot de\u00a0Chevannes<\/span>\u00a0and Etienne Joseph-Marie L\u00e9once\u00a0Bizouard<\/span>\u00a0from\u00a0Montille<\/span>\u00a0the grandfather\u00a0d'<\/span>hubert<\/span>the estate was renamed from\u00a0Montille<\/span>\u00a0April 9, 1863.<\/span>\u00a0Grandfather, as he was known in those days, \"Montille\", spent his time between the domains of\u00a0Volnay and<\/span>\u00a0from\u00a0Cr\u00e9ancey<\/span> in addition to the farming company he created.<\/span>\u00a0In those days, wealth was not recognized.<\/span>\u00a0These riches include more than twenty hectares of magnificent terroirs cultivated with Pinot Noir in the C\u00f4te de Beaune, but also on the C\u00f4te en nuit with Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Chambolle-Musigny 1.\u00a0er<\/span>\u00a0Cru\u00a0\u00a0\"the<\/span>\u00a0Lovers \"<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Today, these vineyards are the stuff of dreams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hubert's arrival on the estate takes another turn.<\/span>\u00a0He leads a life between the vine and the law.<\/span>\u00a0But he remains a great wine enthusiast, as he can remember all the vintages in his head.<\/span>\u00a0In the 1950s, the Hubert de\u00a0Montille<\/span>\u00a0confirms its identity.<\/span>\u00a0In the words of \u00c9tienne :<\/span>\u00a0\"My father is a man of character and taste.<\/span>\u00a0He quickly realized that he wanted to make wines that he liked, not wines that were just for him.\u00a0sell\".<\/span><\/span>\u00a0During this period, 90 % of the region's wines were in a period of negotiation, with small estates trying to make a name for themselves by making completely deferred wines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Etienne gradually began to follow in his father's footsteps, but his father insisted that his son first learn a real trade, always in the legal world, to respect the family tradition.<\/span>\u00a0Over time, Etienne, with his father's help, adapted to the vinification process, until 2001, when he returned to the ch\u00e2teau to look after the vines.<\/span>\u00a0Then, in 2003, he did his utmost to enlarge the estate to produce exceptional vines.<\/span>\u00a0But above all, his priority is to bring the estate back to the C\u00f4te de Nuit, to the heart of the region.\u00a0Clos-Vougeot<\/span>in Vosne-Roman\u00e9e, right next to La T\u00e2che.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, the estate has a surface area of 35 hectares, 75 of which are %.\u00a0First<\/span>\u00a0and Grands Crus on both C\u00f4tes.<\/span><\/p>\n
