After a few years, the palate softens and becomes rounder, revealing licorice notes of black fruit and spices. With its 250 winegrowers, it enjoys an international reputation. The wines are powerful and structured when young, but after a few years, they turn to aromas of stone fruits, morello cherries or kirsch. Not far from the aromas of Burgundy's fine Pinot Noir.
