Tasted by Joe Czerwinski on January 20, 2022: "Marked by scents of red raspberries and black cherries, Bonnefond's complex, full-bodied 2019 Cote Rotie is a ripe, creamy-textured wine with plenty of weight and richness in the mouth. Aged in 30% new 400-liter barrels, it is concentrated yet supple and finishes long and silky with soft tannins."
The cuvée: Parcel selection on the Côte-Rozier located in the north of the appellation, on schist and mica-schist terroirs. Vinification as for the previous vintage, aged for 20 months in 400 liter barrels, 30% of which are new wood.
