Among the great wine families of Europe, the Rothschild family is perhaps the most famous. And Baron Philippe de Rothschild is certainly the best known of this great family. At the age of 20, Baron Philippe took over the management of the Château Mouton Rothschild in place of his father, Baron Henri. Philippe's visionary spirit will change the world of wine. He invented bottling at the Château. In 1979, financed great artists by asking them to illustrate his labels and, in partnership with Robert Mondavi, he created Opus One.
