Wines from the Elysée cellar: French history in a bottle
On May 30 and 31, 2013, part of the Elysée wine cellar was auctioned off, 1,200 bottles straight from the presidential cellar, a first in the history of the French presidency. The cellar, created in 1947 under Vincent Auriol, attracted many enthusiasts and curious onlookers to the Drouot auction room in Paris.
