Founded at 19 th century by Antoine Jaboulet in the Rhône Valley, the estate is located on the best parcels of Northern Rhône wines; in particular HermitageCrozes-Hermitage and Cornas. He remains in the family Jaboulet until 2006, when the Frey family took over. The domain is theone of the best in the Rhône Valley and we can't stop talking about the exploits of Paul Jaboulet, in particular the AOC cuvée Hermitage "La Chapelle" has enjoyed a meteoric rise to become one of the top 10 wines of this century.
History of the domain :
This estate is a family story, as it was passed down from father to son, with Louis succeeding his grandfather Antoine and then father Paul. Louis remained at the helm until 1977, when his son Gerard took over until his death in 1977, followed by cousin Michel. Jaboulet. Not forgetting other family members who have played a part in the life of the company, such as : Jean Jaboulet Louis Jaboulet's brother, Jacques Jaboulet Gerard Jaboulet's brother, Philippe Jaboulet Gerard Jaboulet's brother. The estate was acquired in 2006 by the Frey family, who also own Château de la Lagune, Bordeaux's 3rd Grand Cru Classé, and Château de l'Anjou. Thanks to Caroline Frey, winemaker and oenologist, the estate obtained organic viticulture certification in 2016 and began a transition to biodynamic viticulture. Two Châteauneuf du pape reds and two Châteauneuf du pape whites are produced by Paul. Jaboulet Groin. Paul Jaboulet Aine is based on a mix of 70 % Grenache, 15 % Cinsault, 10 % Syarh and 5 % of Mouvèdre. The vines have generally been present for more than 50 years. For 12 months, the wines are produced in oak barrels. Paul Jaboulet Ainé "Domaine de Terre Ferme" is made from 80 % Grenache and 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon. Mouvèdre. Paul Jaboulet Elder ashes white is made from 80 % Grenache Blanc and 20 % Grenache Blanc. picardin. Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert - Paul Jaboulet Aîné
This is the oldest estate in Crozes-hermitage who joined the Paul Jaboulet Elder in 1834. It is composed of toasted oak, spice box, fresh blackberry and rock, and is also concentrated, full-bodied and deep. The finish is fresh and juicy with blackberries. It's at its best after 10 to 12 years of cellaring, and can evolve for another 15 to 25 years. Certain vintages can even develop up to 20 and 60 years. It ages perfectly and improves with age. It keeps at 15.5 degrees Celsius fahrenheit. Paul Jaboulet In his youth, Ainé made sure that the wines were properly decanted to bring out their fragrance.

Saint Joseph "La Croix des Vignes" - Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Sufficiently concentrated in garrigue, we also find the presence of black fruits and crushed aromas. On top of that, we have a full-bodied wine with savory tannins and a well-presented mineral quality, with hints of black fruits. It offers a sweet perfume on the finish. The notes of cedar and cherry are astonishing. After several years in the cellar, it will be even better. It is produced in the heart of the Saint Joseph village, above the communes of Mauves and Tournon sur Rhône. The plot is located at the top of a steep slope with a direct southern exposure, on deep, gravelly soils. The vines may be more than 30 years old.
