This region is also unique for its white-juiced Gamay noir grape variety, nicknamed "son of Pinot Noir" and "son ofGouais white". According to Philip the Bold, this variety was accused of the worst evils, bans for its fruity character. But it is the only one to express itself on these terroirs. greedy and thanks to the latter, the wines made from it stand out do part of Burgundy's great red wines.

The estate's great vintages :

  • Moulin-à-Vent Clos des Thorins- Château des Jacques:

It is characterized by a fleshy, full-bodied fruit texture and remarkable smoothness, framed by slightly muscular tannins. It goes perfectly with characterful cuisine: game, charcuterie, strong cheeses.

This cuvée has all the benefits of the richer blue rock than the neighboring granite: its aromatic richness (white pepper, blackberry, etc.) and density are clearly present. The complexity of this cuvée enhances many delicate dishes.

  • Fleurie-Château des Jacques:

The wines produced are rich, delicate and smooth. Intense floral and red fruit aromas, combined with precise acidity, give these wines a very gourmet character.
