• Windmill-Domaine Yvon Metras:

The nose is quite powerful, with bright black cherries and blackcurrant. The palate is rich and smooth.

 

• Fleurie Printemps-Domaine Yvon Metras :

The wine aired very well in the glass, with aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, cardamom and peony. The palate is velvety and enveloping, with dark fruit nuances and a broad, rich profile. It's balanced by luscious acids and framed by powdery tannins.

 

• Fleurie L'Ultime-Domaine Yvon Metras :

The purity of this cuvée is exceptionally dense. A strong presence of red fruit and good minerality. For an even better taste, cellar it for a few years.

How did the Yvon Metras estate come into being?

An emblematic estate in the region since 1988. Yvon Métras has elevated his wines to the elite of Beaujolais wines. His wines are naturally matured without the addition of chemicals. In his cellar, you'll find Beaujolais vintages from and Fleurie appellations, and if you're patient, you'll be able to appreciate the wine even more after a few years in the cellar. True wine-lovers want to have Yvon Detras wines in their cellar at all costs. They give us fine Beaujolais wines with great elegance and perfect balance. Since 2014, Yvon's son Jules has been working on the same estate as his father. He starts with the vinification of the family's vines and rented vines.
