Once upon a time...
This popular and prestigious Burgundy estate has existed since the 18th century. In 1988, the Prieur family put their shares in the estate up for sale to a group of investors. Jean-Pierre Labruyère, one of the investors and creator of Champion supermarkets, began by buying up his partners' shares, ending up with 75 % after the sale, thanks to the participation of the Prieur family. Antonin Rodet. This left a quarter of the estate to the Prior family. Jean-Pierre's son, Edouard Labruyère, took over the management of the estate. He wanted at all costs to keep the technical team led by Nadine Gublin who later set up her own oenology practice. She is often between Meursault, Moulin-à-vent and soon will be at Pomerol. The Labruyère family, originally from the Mâconais region, also owns a 12-hectare estate at Moulin-à-Vent in Beaujolais, and Château Rouget in Pomerol since 1994.
As for Domaine Jacques Prieur, it boasts 22 hectares on the Côte de Nuits, as well as on the Côte de Beaune, with one of the best collections of dream-selling Premier and Grand Crus. Between them, they have : nine grands crus, fourteen premiers crus, three crus monopoles, a veritable string of pearls. Nadine Gublinwhich is an excellent oenologist stopped with the method from bâtonnage white wines, and consistently produces wines that are full-bodied, powerful and flavorful, the standard-bearers of great modern Burgundies. Musigny Grand Cru-Jacques Prieur :
The color is an intense black-red, marked by a disk. violet. The highly expressive nose offers a magnificent bouquet of flowers with a subtle perfume of violet and rose. This is a very refined aroma. On the palate, the fruit is fresh, fine and slightly acidic. On the finish, the tannins are fine, spicy, sapid and very digestible.

The color is a luminous ruby red. The nose reveals spicy notes(clove)Cherry, cherry pit, tobacco evolving on coffee grounds. The mouth is sweet and creamy notes regulatedmentholated. The finish is fleshy and generous, with dense tannins that are fresh, spicy and easy to digest.

The color is a dark ruby red. The nose presents toasty, slightly smoky, leathery and tobacco notes on first approach, then after aeration the fleshiness of ripe cherry appears. Crisp fruitiness, tart cherry, cherry pit and spice on the palate. A finish on notes of brioche. Tannic texture with finesse and maturity.

Volnay Clos des Santenots 1er cru Monopole - Jacques Prieur :
The color is a deep, intense ruby red. The nose is very complex, refined and distinguished, with notes of small black berries. (blueberry, blackcurrant) evolving with aeration on floral notes (violet) intoxicating. Smooth and refined on the palate. Fresh to the touch, crisp with great purity of fruit.
