Find out more about the winery

Château Miraval became world-famous after Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt purchased the estate in 2008. This renowned winery is located in the small village of Correns, in Provence. The vineyards are planted on terraces at an altitude of 350 meters. The climate is Mediterranean, but as it cools sufficiently at night, the grapes retain their freshness. The soil is a combination of lime and clay. This composition enables the roots to retain the right amount of water and the vines to be supplied with sufficient water.

News: Château de Miraval for sale: Angelina Jolie faces Brad Pitt's wrath

? The star and owner of the winery, Brad Pitt, filed a new complaint this Friday, May 3, 2022, against his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, who allegedly put her own shares in the winery up for sale, without any announcement on her part.
The latter would have sold the shares to Tenute del Mondo, also known as a spirits manufacturer, based in Luxembourg and under the wing of Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler.
Brad Pitt has taken the matter to court over the loss of shares in the company. He points to dubious intentions on the part of the Russian buyer and seems furious.

The actor has therefore taken the reins to put a stop to this unwanted sale as quickly as possible. In fact, this company, which is worth over $50 million and is one of the leading names in rosé wines in Provence, is a real success story thanks to its owner Brad Pitt and not his ex-wife, according to the actor's lawyers.

Stocks, reputation and real financial stakes are at the heart of this affair. A case to follow!

A divorce that didn't harm the partnership

Just months after announcing that Château Miraval would reopen its legendary recording studio, Brad Pitt has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, over the sale of his shares in the southern French winery.

The couple bought a majority stake in the winery in 2012 for around €25 million and held their wedding there in 2014. When they divorced two years later, Pitt claims they agreed a "mutual understanding" that neither would sell their shares without the other's consent. In 2021 - without Pitt's knowledge, he claims - Jolie sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a division of vodka company Stoli Group, owned by Russian businessman Yuri Shefler.

Mr. Pitt's goal is to cancel the sale of the winery, which he takes credit for transforming into a "multi-million dollar international success story and one of the world's most renowned rosé wine producers", according to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. Find out more in the video below! :
