The Institut National des Appellations d'Origine (INAO) is considering a plan to redefine Burgundy's vineyards, which would exclude no fewer than 64 communes from the Bourgogne AOC, including most of Chablis. On the other hand, communes in Beaujolais, previously located in the Rhône region, would be able to produce under the Bourgogne AOC.
