Let's face it, there are a multitude of ways to prepare mussels, but here we've chosen the best-known of them all. Mussels à la Marinière. This is a sauce based on shallots and white wine. Many add aromatic herbs to complete the preparation. When tasted, the dish is rather light and not very spicy. So it needs a little kick. with a crisp, dry white wine ! I recommend serving it chilled, but beware of the temperature contrast between the dish and the wine.

A few wines that go perfectly with moules marinières :

Venise 2018 - Vin de France - Jacky Blot

Clos Venise is a parcel located in the Vouvray appellation. It has been downgraded to Vin de France by the winemaker to give him the freedom to vinify the wine as he sees fit. The plot is planted exclusively with Chenin, on chalk and tufa soils. Sometimes vinified as demi-sec or moelleux, this year the winemaker decided to make it dry. With its fine minerality and Blot method vinification, Cuvée Venise brings freshness and minerality to your dishes.
