What is the Wine Spectator?

Wine Spectator is a very famous and influential American wine magazine.

It publishes a wide range of articles on wine in general and viticulture in particular. The Wine Spectator was founded in 1976 by its creator, Bob Morrisey. Today, it's Marvin Shanken, editor-in-chief and owner of the magazine since 1979.
Wine Spectator offers influential tasting notes that are eagerly awaited by readers. Critics James Laube, Harvey Steiman, Bruce Sanderson, Kim Marcus and James Molesworth make the magazine famous with their tasting columns, which have a real impact on wine ratings and can therefore influence the market.
