The great wines of 1973

In Bordeaux, 1973 is a difficult vintage. The violent rains that fell on the Bordeaux vineyard during the harvest gave grapes gorged with water. The grapes produced relatively thin wines. Nevertheless, one finds superb successes in the wines of Pomerol and the wines of Graves. Surprisingly, the sweet wines turn out to be supple and full of charm.

In Burgundy, 1973 is a vintage of very good quality. The white wines are amazing with character and are very aromatic. The red wines are harmonious and very seductive. It is a very good vintage in Burgundy.
