Here is the famous Champagne House Pierre Moncuit, superb property which is part of Mesnul sur Oger (the residence of the Champagne vineyards of excellence).
Find all the best references of this prestigious domain on Comptoir des Millésimes. This is one of our partner estates, which means that their wines are shipped directly to our cellar following their bottling in their estate. The winemakers reserve an allocation of their cases of wine for us each year. So don't hesitate to create an email alert (in the section my Alerts ) on the Domaine Les Aurelles in order to be informed first of the latest arrivals.
The Moncuit family has been living in Le Mesnil sur Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, for over a century. In 1889, Pierre Moncuit bought 19 hectares of vines and, convinced of the exceptional quality of the terroir, started producing Champagne, with the support and collaboration of his wife Odile Delos. In 1928, the first Chardonnay cuvée was produced by Robert, Pierre's grandson, who continued the work begun by his grandfather with passion and determination. From 1977 onwards, Nicole Moncuit, who is as passionate about winemaking as she is about growing vines, took over the technical management of the company, while brother Yves Moncuit took over. Times have changed, but the philosophy is still the same: great respect for the earth, few interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar, following traditional methods, without shortcuts, in order to allow nature to give its best in the wine. The limestone soil and the microclimate of Le Mesnil are Pierre Amillet's best allies in producing a champagne of great quality, where fruit aromas blend beautifully with minerality and freshness.
