1976, the year of drought was also a fine vintage

The 1976 vintage is a very great vintage in Bordeaux. A year punctuated by very difficult weather conditions, the harvest was carried out under heavy rainfall. The grapes, which were then waterlogged, produced wines with less character than they should have. Nevertheless, the wines are supple and elegant. The winemakers made sure to carefully select the best grapes to obtain quality wines. In Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Saint-Estèphe, the vintage is exceptional. The sweet wines are superb and find their balance between richness and elegance.

In Burgundy, 1976 is a very great vintage. The Burgundy vineyard reacted very well to the drought and enjoyed exceptional sunshine. The red wines turned out to be even better than the already superb white wines. The reds are harmonious, full-bodied, yet supple and elegant. The balance is not lacking. The white wines are supple, ample and aromatic. A very fine year for the Burgundian vineyard.
