In 1932, the Borie family became the owners. Marcel and Francis, the Borie brothers, reorganized the vineyard in order to divide it in two. Thus Francis became the owner of
The vineyard was expanded with the purchase of the Château Duhart Milon in 1939. Since 1998, Francois Xavier Borie has been at the head of the family estate. In 2009, a total renovation of the vineyard was undertaken with positive and significant results on the quality of the wine.
The Château Haut-Batailley embarked on a new adventure in 2017 when the Cazes family took over the reins of the estate, promising to take the utmost care of it. The collaboration already seems very fruitful.
The estate is located at the south-western end of the appellation, a few kilometres from Pauillac, on deep Garonne gravel soils, and offers a blend of 3 different grape varieties for tasting:
