Bouchard Père et Fils: who are they?

  • Bouchard presentation

Bouchard Père & Fils is a wine estate that extends over 130 hectares in Burgundy, along the Côte de Beaune. It is also a large and very prestigious trading house in Beaune. Bouchard Père & Fils is above all 280 years of history, with a production of 12 Grands Crus and 74 Premiers Crus.

  • Bouchard today

The Burgundian wine estate of Bouchard Pére et Fils can trace its origins back to 1731 although it is no longer a family business. In 1995, the champagne house Joseph Henriot acquired the company and the quality was improved.

Figures that speak for themselves of the quality and renown of the estate. One of the largest estates in Burgundy! The cellars are located in the prestigious Château de Beaune, cultural heritage listed as a historical monument. Maturing is therefore carried out in the best conditions for the large number of vintages from the Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils. Christophe Bouchard is in charge of management. The vineyard is essentially cultivated using sustainable agriculture methods.

An impressive gravity-filled cellar on the road to Savigny, the Cuvérie St Vincent, was completed in 2005, allowing them to process all their wines with optimum efficiency. There are many grands crus from the Maison Bouchard Père et Fils: Bonnes-Mares, Chambertin, Clos-de-Bèze, Chapelle-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Clos Vougeot, Echezeaux, Corton, Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne and Montrachet. Bouchard has properties in the village of Monthélie, located just beyond Volnay and overlooking Meursault. The village is best known for its red wines, a slightly firmer structure than Volnay and of particular interest for perfect summers, when the grapes can fully ripen.
