What are the specificities of Château l'Evangile?
The Château is one of the oldest properties in Pomerol. Marked by numerous successions, the estate has a long history since its creation in 1741.
The vineyard offers in tasting a wine made of 2 grape varieties:
The grapes are hand-picked in crates. The Château makes every effort to respect the singularities of each plot, particularly thanks to the new fermenting room before the wine is matured in almost completely new oak barrels. An extremely strict selection is carried out for the blending of the Grand Vin in order to find all the excellence of a terroir that is exceptional in every way. A renowned savoir-faire that places the Château l'Evangile among the best of the Pomerol appellation behind Pétrus, Trotanoy and La Conseillante.
In perpetual improvement for the last fifteen years or so, the Château perfectly combines elegance, softness, depth and complexity. An exceptional wine with an expressive bouquet and a seductive finish.
In order to best express its sublime terroir, the estate also produces a Second Wine, "Blason de l'Evangile".
