The Côte de Vivarais is located in the northern part of the southern Rhône, which gives it a little of the best of both worlds. The Côte de Vivarais became an appellation in 1999.

The appellation has 321 hectares of vines. Most of the wine of the Côte de Vivarais is red wine, which is divided as follows: 53% red wine, 41% "rosé" and 6% white wine. Grenache and white Grenache are the two key grape varieties. The terroir is mainly made up of limestone and marl soils. Look for the wines of Domaine Gallety.
