Owned by the Daumen family since 1905, the Domaine de La Vieille Julienne has been developed from father to son. Since 1990, Jean-Paul Daumen joined the estate and aims at an environmentally friendly and ecological culture: Restriction of treatments on the vines, no chemical products.
The Réserve de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape was first produced in 1994 and has received Robert Parker's 100-point score for several of its vintages.
Grenache is the most important variety, constituting 60% of the flagship wine of Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the majority of other red blends. "La Réserve" is 95% Grenache and comes from the oldest vines on the estate, some of which are over a hundred years old. The Domaine de la Vieille Julienne also produces Côtes du Rhône red and white.
