From a sunny vintage and now at remarkable maturity, Soiries de Rivesaltes 1976 - Hors d'Âge embodies all the nobility of the great Vins Doux Naturels of Roussillon. After many years of oxidative aging, the wine displays a deep mahogany color with brick-red highlights. The nose is of rare intensity, blending walnuts, coffee, cocoa, candied orange peel, dried figs, and a touch of noble rancio typical of very old Rivesaltes wines.
On the palate, the texture is full and enveloping, perfectly balanced by a persistent freshness that avoids any heaviness. Notes of dried fruit, fine caramel, and sweet spices linger in an endless finish marked by an elegant salinity. A meditation wine par excellence, ideal with a chocolate dessert, an aged Comté cheese, or simply on its own, to savor the depth of a historic vintage.
