Nuits Saint Georges 2001 Les Plateaux - Vincent Barbier
Nuits Saint Georges
Wine Character
The "Nuits" appellation wines are the fullest-bodied, most robust, and most tannic of the Côte de Nuits. While they are generally ready for drinking after four or five years in the bottle, they age very well for about ten years.
They are full-bodied and firm, with a dark and intense color. Their aromas are powerful and complex, blending cherry, blackcurrant, fur, and truffle. They possess significant tannic structure, and the harmony of tannin and roundness makes them full-bodied and solid wines.
