Tasted by J.S in 2016 - "The nose of this wine is very complex, with notes of lightly spiced pastry, bright strawberries and cherries, as well as spicy crème brûlée and praline. There is a lot of complexity in this wine. The palate has a bright, crisp, assertive burst of peach and lemon flavours on the entry, while the pinot takes the middle palate with fleshy white cherries and soft phenolic notes that hold through to the finish with delicately musky mushroom and cherry flavours. Remarkable balance and power. This vintage is a 60/40 split between pinot noir and chardonnay."
ÉLABORATION
- 60% Pinot Noir from the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne
- 40% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs
- Maturation on lees / in the cellar: 10 years
SERVICE AND PAIRING
Served at cellar temperature (11/12°), this cuvée will bring out the flavours of a fine roast Bresse poultry or a delicious milk-fed veal chop with chanterelles.
