Château Dassault 2001

Saint-Emilion - Grand Cru Classé

Château Dassault is a world famous wine produced in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux in France. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé in the Saint-Émilion wine classification.

Château Dassault takes its name from the Dassault family, famous for its activities in aeronautics and politics. The wine estate was acquired by the family in 1955 and is now run by Laurent Dassault, the family heir.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CUVÉE:

  • The Château Dassault vineyards extend over approximately 25 hectares and are planted mainly with Merlot grapes, with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. These grape varieties are typical of the Saint-Émilion region and contribute to the richness and complexity of the wines produced.
  • The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted before vinification. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for a period ranging from 18 to 24 months, which gives it subtle aromas of vanilla and spices, as well as a balanced tannic structure.
