Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Classé
WHEN TO DRINK THIS WINE?
This is a rare and old vintage of Mouton Rothschild. It matured decades ago. You can taste it today or collect it.
THE VINEYARD
The vineyard is planted on very deep gravel, with grape varieties typical of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon (81%), Merlot (15%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This proportion is not identical in the wine, as the blend varies according to the character of each vintage.
LABEL PRODUCED BY JACQUES VILLON
Creation: Both a researcher and an artist, but always a refined colourist, in his work for the 1960 Mouton Rothschild label he combines the movement of birds with the geometric order of the vine.
