At the invitation of Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Her Majesty Queen Mother Elizabeth spent three days at Mouton during an official visit to Bordeaux in April 1977. To commemorate this visit and pay tribute to her, Baron Philippe, with her permission, dedicated the label of Mouton Rothschild 1977 to her."
