Tasted by Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2020: "The 2017 Paveil de Luze is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot and was aged for 12 months in French oak, 30% of which was new. Garnet-purple in colour, the nose offers subtle, restrained aromas of warm plums, blackcurrant and Black Forest cake, plus hints of bouquet garni and damp earth. The palate has plenty of juicy black fruit with soft, well-managed tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on an earthy note."
