When to drink this wine : This is a rare and old vintage of Château Pichon-Logueville Baron. It matured decades ago. You can enjoy it today or collect it.
Tasting notes: A decent and enjoyable Pauillac. It has a tasty bouquet, almost like a Côte Rôtie, but with enough fruit to carry it. The palate is soft on entry, with a supple texture, blackberry and red plum notes, leather and game.
Vintage: 1949 is one of the legendary vintages of Pauillac.

Grape varieties: 3/4 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1/4 Merlot

70% in new barrels, 30% in one-wine barrels for 18 months
