Nuits Saint Georges 2019 - Chantal Lescure
VINE AND SOIL:
This cuvée is a blend of three parcels, located in the combe and at the foot of the slopes (Vosne Romanée side) :
- Les Creux Fraîches Eaux : 0.15 ha | Terroir clay-limestone (30 years old vine)
- Les Tuyaux : 0.18 ha | Clay and sandy soil (15 years old vine)
- Les Herbues : 0.15 ha | Clay and sandy soil (40 years old vine)
Yield is approximately 35-40hl/hectare.
VINIFICATION:
The winemakers harvest by hand in 25kg boxes. The grapes are sorted, destemmed, not crushed and vatted by gravity. Vinification in stainless steel tanks of 40 hectoliters. The vatting lasts 18 to 25 days and we punch down moderately.
MATURATION AND BOTTLING:
Aging of the wines in cold cellar, in 20 to 30% new barrels, on lees (16 to 18 months). Racking one month before bottling, no filtration or fining.
