Côte Rôtie 2017 Vires de Serine - Rémi Niero
Domaine Robert et Rémi Niero
(94 - 96)/100 Parker
Cellaring potential: 2025 - 2040
By Joe Czerwinski in 2018: "Tasted in barrel, the 2017 Cote Rotie Vires de Serine will spend a total of 24 months in new oak. It is similar in style to the 2015, with loads of jammy raspberry and blueberry fruit framed by charred, mocha-tinged oak. This prestige wine is velvety smooth and looks to be another great success for the estate."
Grapes : Syrah (95%), Viognier (5%)
Vinification: integrated viticulture
Maturing: 16 months in oak barrels (20% new).
Food pairing : Lamb, game, rabbit stew, entrecote, stuffed turkey.
