The Alexandre Chartogne estate, located in Merfy, north of Reims, perpetuates a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Alexandre took over the family business with a modern vision, inspired by his time working with Anselme Selosse. The vineyard is cultivated like a true garden, plot by plot, with meticulous attention to detail to reveal the terroir's unique character.

Precision and Respectful Viticulture

The estate is based on principles of sustainable viticulture, prioritizing soil health, natural ground cover, and manual labor. The often old vines produce concentrated and balanced grapes. Alexandre Chartogne makes it a point of honor to limit any intervention in the cellar to preserve aromatic purity.

Exquisite Single-Vineyard Champagnes

The estate's philosophy is expressed in a series of emblematic single-vineyard cuvées: Orizeaux, Beaux Sens, Alliées, Chemin de Reims… Each wine reflects the subtle, mineral character of its terroir. Barrel fermentation and extended lees aging impart texture and depth without ever weighing down the wines.
