Château Batailley 2010
5th grand cru pauillac classification
95/100 Parker
Tasting note by Neal Martin in 2016: "The 2010 Batailley may well have been the best wine in a tasting that encompassed three centuries of winemaking at the estate. The nose offers exceptional delineation and minerality. It fizzes in the glass with energy and displays lively aromas of blackberry and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied, but it is the detail and precision that reach a level that makes the 2010 a benchmark for the Pauillac estate. It builds to a taut, tar and graphite-tinged finish that lingers on the palate. It is destined for long cellaring in that its quality will not be widely appreciated for many years."
Cellaring: now to 2035
