Tasted in 97: ‘The saturated, dark ruby/purple-coloured 1993 Cuvée Chantemerle has a tight but promising nose of roasted Provençal herbs, garrigue and sweet berries. Full-bodied, spicy, dense and moderately tannic, this late 1993 needs 3 to 5 years cellaring. It is one of the richest and most complete wines of the vintage’.
