Château Branaire Ducru 1950
Saint-Julien - 4ème Grand Cru Classé
Ageing potential: Can be drunk now. Ripe wine.
Tasting note: "Attractive berry and wet earth aromas and flavours, silky tannins and fresh finish."
Branaire Ducru's 60-hectare vineyard is planted to 65% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. This represents a slight change in the proportion of Cabernet in the vineyard. In size, the vineyard remains close to what it was at the time of the 1855 classification.
